My name is Torbjörn Nilsson and I am the Library Director of the Malmö City Library. I have been head of the City Library for five years and, with  1 May 2017 I am also the head of all public libraries in Malmö. I am also a member of the IFLA governing board. I am an academic with graduate qualifications in both library science and cultural sciences. I have many years experience of being the head of various public cultural organisations in Sweden. Our philosophy at Malmö City Library is to get more visitors to stay in our library longer – to work, learn, create and experience culture.
