John West has been the Principal Libraries Manager for High Life Highland since 2013. In a career spanning almost three decades as a chartered Librarian he has worked for a variety of public and educational library services in a number of roles before having the good fortune to settle in the beautiful Scottish Highlands. He leads a team who look after 70 libraries across the Highlands with services including public libraries, school libraries, mobile libraries and most recently a prison library. Highlanders are devoted to their libraries and Highland Libraries are passionate about delivering meaningful , innovative and highly valued services to all. Highland Libraries are currently  enjoying their busiest year to date with record visitor numbers and the highest ever customer satisfaction rates.
